Biography

Currently, Nate is a freelance Web Designer. Check out his work at the creatively titled, nateuridesigns.com. He is also a food writer, private chef, and anything else for a price as long as he doesn't have to work in corporate America. Of course, during lean times, one must compromise. So he also works at Big Bowl Ridgedale.

He began to study music at the age of ten, training in classical piano for 8 years before moving to jazz. Nate studied with some of the Minneapolis greats like Yaakov Gelfand, Bobby Peterson, and later with Andrew Oliver and Erik Fratzke for jazz guitar. Nate began playing guitar at the age of twelve and taught himself for many years until deciding to pursue the study of jazz guitar exclusively.

Nate wants to be a hot club swing guitarist - Django Reinhardt and Bireli Lagrene are his idols.
